The Application Of Ceramic Handmade Bricks In The Public Environment

Pottery is the first natural materials that humans have mastered and pottery art is also one of the oldest arts.Engels once said,"The development of human beings from the lower stage to the civilized stage began with learning to make pottery".In history,ceramics were used as materials for architecture as stone and wood.In the early original period,ceramics were used for housing.In Banpo primitive building,there were mud-sculpture decoration debris,reflecting the primitive people's pursuit of ideal living environment and the consciousness of building themselves.With the advancement of ceramics,bricks have also been constantly evolving,the ancients made bricks become more complex architecture or the building component,which have partial bricks to be used at wall and ground adornment slowly by simple function at first,then the practical place is replaced by aesthetic sex gradually.Today,brick is becoming a medium for many artists as people attach great importance to the ceramic art of architectural environment and the development of public art.Handmade bricks are a good way for ceramic art to intervene in the environment and for artists to express themselves.This paper analyzes the development of handmade brick and its application in the public environment,It also discusses the involvement of ceramics in the public environment and its aesthetic significance.Ceramic materials are closely related to everyone's life and can be found everywhere in daily life.However,people's understanding of ceramics generally stays in cups,bowls and other household utensils,and they are ignorant of other properties and applications of ceramics.At the same time,with the improvement of people's living standards,cultural quality and aesthetic awareness,people's desire for spirit is more urgent,and the demand for space is also becoming higher and higher.Ceramics,as a kind of material,has begun to intervene in people's living environment space with a special artistic form,giving people wider and deeper attention in the spiritual field.As an extension of environmental ceramics to public environment space,ceramic handmade bricks have developed rapidly in modern public environment space with their tradition and modernity,unique individuality and strong artistic appeal.The study of ceramic hand-made bricks is conducive to better explore the spiritual aesthetic needs of modern people.This article takes ceramic hand-made bricks as the entry point and expands in three levels.Firstly,through the general survey of ceramic literature,the origin and classification of brick material are sorted out.Combined with the cross-study of urbanhistory and architectural history,the reasons for the development of bricks are analyzed.And the classification of ancient public environment in China and the development and application of brick in public environment are analyzed through gardening records and archaeological data.Secondly,according to the development of ceramic hand bricks,the possibility of intervention in the public environment and the intervention forms and intervention principles are analyzed.Finally,from the above research and analysis,the development of ceramic hand-made bricks in the public environment is summarized,and the development of China's public environment is explored.
