PM2.5 is one of the main atmospheric pollutants. Its presence not only endangers human health, but also seriously affects regional visibility. So,it is necessary to control its concentration to improve urban air quality and reduce its environmental and human hazards. At present, the monitoring of PM2.5 concentration in China still relies mainly on monitoring stations, and most of the obtained monitoring points are data, which cannot reflect the spatial distribution characteristics and changes of PM2.5 in a large area.In recent years, with the development of remote sensing technology,we can obtain satellite data to observe the PM2.5 concentration in a certain area, and convert it from point source monitoring to surface source observation. In this study,we used the data provided by the medium resolution imaging spectrometer MODIS on the US TERRA satellite to invert the aerosol using the dark pixel algorithm, and selected Shanxi Province as the research area and combined with the ground data to study the PM2.5 in winter of 2018.And its changing trends. The results show that the aerosol optical thickness?AOD?obtained by inversion has a high correlation with PM2.5;the winter AOD inversion is worse than that in summer;PM2.5 concentrations in Linfen and Yuncheng are higher than those cities in Shanxi Province. In most cities, the concentration varies greatly. Therefore,AOD can predict the concentration of PM2.5 and its changing trend to a certain extent.
