Due to various excellent properties of carbon fiber, such as mechanical properties and chemical stability, etc,However, carbon fiber is rarely used directly, and surface products are generally produced on carbon fibers to improve the performance of carbon fibers. In this paper,we propose a new "electrochemical" method, which studies in detail the variation of product on carbon fiber with different parameters based on carbon fibers. This "electrochemical" method differs from the conventional electrochemical method in that carbon fiber is used to connect between two plates in the experiment, carbon fiber as a heating source and a substrate for coating growth,The electrolyte provides a source of reaction and acts as a cooling medium, but as an isolation medium to avoid the high temperature oxidation of carbon fibers.Their composition and morphology were characterized by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Raman spectroscopy(Raman),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).X-ray diffraction(XRD),and thermo gravimetric analysis(DT-TGA).respectively.This paper mainly focused on the following content:(1)Net-like graphene sheets were in-situ grown on the carbon fibers using an electrolyte with 3:1 volume ratio of glycerol to ethylene glycol and single carbon fiber as reaction substrate by a novel "electrochemical" method. In the experimental process, the effect of different processing parameters(voltage, reaction time, etc.)on the formation of surficial products was investigated by SEM and Raman spectra, and these parameters also optimized. The results show that a good quality of net-like graphene sheets can be produced only under 190V,5s process conditions.(2)Using the same "electrochemical" method, the factors affecting the growth and transformation of carbon fiber surface products were studied by changing the different processing parameters(reaction time, voltage, glycerol and ethylene glycol olume ratio)during the experiment. The research results show that not only the growth of graphene sheets and carbon nanotubes but also the conversion of graphene sheets and carbon nanotubes under different conditions can be realized by adjusting the process parameters.(3)In this experiment, the "electrochemical" method was also used to prepare an aluminum oxide coating on the surface of carbon fiber to protect the carbon fiber from oxidation. In the experiment, difterent processing parameters(voltage.reaction time and solute concentration, etc.)were adjusted. The effect of different processing parameters on the growth of alumina coatinig on the surface of carbon fiber was investigated. The research shows that the alumina coating is optimized by adjusting different process parameters, and it is found that a uniform alumina coating can be prepared only under suitable conditions, and the oxidation resistance of Al2O3-CF is tested. The safe temperature of carbon fiber is increased by 200?.
