With the rapid development of ethanol industry for fuel in China,the amount of emission of molasses ethcuiol wastewater is increasing day by day.Because of its large acidity and deep chroma,molasses alcohol wastewater(called ethanol-containing organic wastewater in this paper)is difficult to be biodegraded.Chemical looping gasification(CLG)and chemical looping reforming(CLR)are new and clean technologies of fuel utilization in recent years.However up to now,there are still few studies on hydrogen production from ethanol-containing organic wastewater by CLR with iron-based oxygen carriers,and few reports on the decomposition mechanism otf ethanol molecules on the surface of iron-based oxygen carriers with different degrees of reduction.In response to the above deficiencies,this paper uses Materials Studio softweire to study the adsorption characteristics and decomposition path of ethanol molecules on the surface of iron-based oxygen carriers with different degrees of reduction,and explains the fomiation mechanism of H2.CH4,ethylene,methanal,ethanal,CO and other syngas products in the ethanol CLR experiment.In addition,Fe2O3/Al2O3 oxygen carrier prepared by impregnation method was used in this paper to study the hydrogen production of ethanol-containing organic wastewater by CLR from the perspectives of oxygen excessive number,reaction temperature,oxygen source,stoichiometric analysis and thermodynamic analysis.The results show that 800℃ for 5wt.%ethanol-containing organic wastewater is the optimal experimental conditions.The thermodynamic analysis shows that one CLR reduction-oxidation cycle of the ethanol-containing organic wastewater is exothermic.The further study about the CLG of ethanol-containing organic wastewater and coal with Fe2O3has been performed.The optimal temperature is confirmed as 800℃ and the optimal oxygen excessive number of the second bed materials for coal CLG is 0.8.Compared with non-wastewater coal CLG,the carbon conversion,syngas yield and quality of CLG of ethanol-containing organic wastewater and coal are higher.Therefore,on the one hand,the CLG of ethanol-containing organic wastewater and coal with Fe2O3 facilitate the utilization of resources.On the other hand,the participation of ethanol-containing organic wastewater can elevate the carbon conversion,syngas yield and quality of syngas of coal.
