During the current industrial production,accurate measurement of the size of the carbon felt and the liquid flow frame of VRB(Vanadium Redox Flow Battery)is a key step in achieving great assembly of the battery.By referring many literatures about machine vision,edge detection and dimensional measurement,this thesis completes the design of visual edge detection algorithm for carbon felt and liquid flow frame,builds an experimental detection platform,analyzes industrial application where the algorithm will be used,designs and finishes a software of vision inspection about carbon felt and liquid flow frame.The specific work is as follows:(1)By considering the performance requirements of system,the hardware of image acquisition system was selected,including light source,camera lens,and computer.An experimental detection platform was set up,and actual images of carbon felt and liquid flow frame were collected by the system.(2)Adding an inhibitor and a de-texture operator,an edge detection method based on improved PCNN(Pulse Coupled Neural Network)was designed.To have a max efficiency of image processing,adaptive setting parameters of PCNN was completed.According to the different requirements,two sub-pixel edge detection methods based on improved PCNN were designed by combining respectively cubic spline interpolation algorithm and parabolic fitting algorithm.Dimensional inspection and noise pollution comparison test of the algorithm were completed.Then,using the computer-generated standard line image to test the accuracy of the algorithm.(3)Analyzed and designed the process of size measurement of carbon felt and liquid flow frame,and calibrated the camera.Combined with the calibration parameters,the inverse perspective formula was re-introduced.The algorithm designed in this dissertation is used to measure the straight line and circle on the acquired image,comparing with the manual size to test the validity and accuracy of the algorithm.(4)A software was designed based on the visual detection system.The design ideas and details of the software were introduced.On the platform of MATLAB,the software was finished and the actual measurement and test of the dimensions of the carbon felt and the dimensions of partial of the liquid flow panel were completed.
