With the development of economy,enormous industrial pollution was discharged without sewage purification from factory.It has posed a serious threat to the ecological envirolnent and human health.Therefore,water environment has become a hot spot research field.Polyimide fiber(PI)was a recently rising materials with excellent physical and chemical stability.It could be used in a severe condition and had length service life.PI had a huge potentialin water pollution treatment and environment repair Through effective modification methods.Nano-TiO2(TiO2)was a low-toxic,harmless,photocatalytic high photocatalyst,which was widely used in the field of pollutant treatment.It has great sig1ificance for industrial wastewater treatmentand environment repair to modify the PI fiber with photocatalytic degradation by nano-TiO2 with high photocatalytic efficiency.In this paper,sol-gel hydrothermal in situ synthesis of nano-TiO2 was carried out using tetrabutyl titanate(TBT)as raw materials and PI fiber treated with alkali as a carrier.The nano-TiO2 modified PI fiber(TiO2/PI fiber)and gold-doped nano-TiO2 modified PI fiber(Au-TiO2/PI fiber)with catalytic performance were prepared.Whereafter,characterized and analyzed the morphological structure and microscopic aggregate construction of samples.Based on the result,the preparation process and degradation process of modified PI fiber photocatalytic materials were optimized.It showed that the prepared Au-TiO2/PI fiber displayed excellent degradation efficiency on acid azo red and methylene blue dyes.By degradation testing,samples performed outstanding degradation efficiency as the concentration of precursor was 0.063 mol/L.The experimental results concluded that acidic environment was more conducive to degrade dyes.And the superior degradation conditions for degradation dye:0.4g fiber(bath ratio 1:250),the initial concentration of the solution was 30mg/L,and the pH values of the acid azo red and methylene blue were adjust to 5.24 and 5.61,respectively.Additionally,owning to fast electronically transmitted of Au,the catalytic degradation efficiency of Au-TiO2/PI fiber was over 50%of TiO2/PI fiber performed.
