High speed arc discharge machining(HSM)is a new machining method that USES large energy pulsed current to realize arc discharge and cut off arc by the impulse of flushing fluid,so as to quickly remove work-piece materials.It is very effective for complex cavity and large margin removal of refractory materials,and can be used in various fields such as defense equipment,aircraft and manufacturing and processing industry.To explore the method and process of high-speed arc machining is an important way to improve the performance of defense equipment and industrial technology,and its research platform--CNC open arc discharge machining machine developed for high-speed arc machining method is also essential.Therefore,based on the existing Agi-Chamiel EDM machine tool,this paper designs and makes a CNC system of pulse power supply and machine tool for exploring high-speed arc discharge machining technology.The main research contents are as follows:1.Through the analysis of the principle of high-speed arc discharge machining,the overall design scheme of the control system of high-speed arc machining machine is planned,and the structure and function of the designed pulse power supply,servo motion control system and numerical control system are introduced.2.According to the power requirements of high-speed arc discharge machining machine for pulse power supply,the main circuit of pulse power supply is designed: a ZVZCS full-bridge converter is built with IGBT soft switch technology to invert the low-power dc after rectification,and high-power low-voltage high-current dc output can be obtained after obtaining high-frequency ac and rectifying treatment.The main circuit was studied by simulation analysis and parameter optimization of main components,and its performance was verified by prototype experiment.3.Aiming at the functional requirements of various controllable waveform output of pulse power put forward by research on high-speed arc discharge machining technology,a pulse power drive and control system based on ARM is designed,and the output results of the system are tested through discharge experiments.The drive control system of the power supply USES STM32 chip to control and communicate with the PC of the upper computer.By adjusting the output of the current stabilizing drive circuit,the open duty ratio of IGBT of the main circuit is changed,so as to realize the real-time adjustment of the output current and waveform,thus controlling the pulse power to output a variety of large current waveform.4.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of different structure NC system,the NC system of high speed arc discharge machining machine is designed.The numerical control system USES the industrial control computer and the PMAC combination,the industrial control computer runs the Linux embedded operating system and the upper computer QT development software,to achieve the system management,man-machine interaction and other functions;PMAC controller receives the control instructions from the system and realizes the motion control function of the machine tool through interpolation algorithm and trajectory planning.5.According to the processing control requirements of high-speed arc discharge machining machine,three control modes of pulse power supply by CNC system are designed;By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of intelligent control method,the feasibility scheme of servo motion control of machine tool is expounded.By studying the influence of flushing on arc machining,the idea of flushing control is described and a flushing system is built.6.Aiming at the requirement of high-speed arc discharge machining machine to the human-machine interaction of the control system,the human-machine interaction interface of the CNC machine tool system is designed,and the method and realization of the information interaction between the human-machine interaction system and the controller are expounded.7.The NC system control cabinet of high speed arc discharge machining machine is built and debugged from the aspects of hardware and software.
