In recent years,various kinds of new technology have been applied to almost every aspect of daily life in China and brought convenience to people since the national great attention to technological innovation and the rapid development of intelligence.People mainly use luggage to transport baggage.Thus if the luggage is made intelligent,it will definitely offer passengers the convenience when traveling.However,the luggage in the current market has several defects,including unstable mechanical structure,ineffective control performance,insufficient positioning accuracy or high price according to the market survey.Therefore,this thesis designed the intelligent following luggage.This thesis carries out the general design of this intelligent following luggage,including mechanical part,controlling part and positioning part.The mechanical part focuses on the design of shell and chassis of the luggage;controlling part selects the modules of main functions and gives introduction of operational principles and main functions.The principle of PID algorithm and PSO algorithm is introduced and simulation experiment is carried out on PSO algorithm.The positioning part summarizes the four common methods used in the current wireless position and designs the main program of the intelligent following luggage.In addition,Kalman filtering algorithm is applied to process the positioning data,which makes positioning result more stable and reliable.At the same time,mechanical structure of the intelligent following luggage is designed and mechanical model is built.Mechanical simulation is carried to test chassis of the luggage.We test the maximum deformation degree and the maximum stress of the chassis under situation of bearing 30 kg respectively.The results satisfy the design requirements.Ultrasonic positioning method,visual positioning method and UWB positioning method are unitized to test positioning part.We carry out specific experiment designs of three methods,ultrasonic positioning method and visual positioning method have certain defect.The ultrasonic positioning method is limited by the angles of ultrasonic transmitter,while the visual one is limited by field range of the camera,therefore these two methods may lose the positioning targets.Eventually,the UWB positioning method is adopted in the thesis.The positioning distance and angle information of targets can be acquired through the designed positioning algorithm,and as a result,the luggage can real-time follow.Finally,three positioning experiments were carried out to test positioning system of the luggage,including static positioning with single base,static positioning with two bases and dynamic positioning with two bases.The data has been processed by Kalman filtering algorithm.The experiment shows the positioning error of UWB method meet the requirements of intelligent following luggage design.
