Study On Lightweight Design Of Bamboo Laminated Wood Furniture Products

Bamboo glulam has been widely used in furniture manufacturing because of its excellent properties,but there is a common problem of product overweight.In this paper,the design of'bamboo glulam furniture is taken as the research object.Through the investigation of bamboo glulam furniture enterprises and stores in many places,the reasons for the overweight of bamboo glulam furniture products are analyzed.Starting from the material,structure,processing technology and shape of the product,two lightweight approaches are put forward to reduce the physical self-weight of furniture and to emphasize the visual lightness.From the aspect of reducing the physical self-weight of furniture,it mainly starts from four aspects:material,structure,connection mode and parts.As far as the choice of base material is concerned,the weight of base material can be reduced by using hollow core board of bamboo laminate and combining with other light materials;as far as the structural design is concerned,on the premise of meeting the connection strength and structural stability,the structural form of furniture can be simplified and the scale of furniture components can be reduced to the greatest extent;as far as the connection mode is concerned,the disassembly and assembly of furniture structure can be realized by using moderm new connectors.In order to improve assembly efficiency and achieve lightweight furniture in the design,production,packaging and transportation links;in terms of spare parts optimization design,scientific design of product specifications and spare parts size,remove redundant spare parts and other ways to achieve physical lightweight products.From the emphasis on visual lightness,mainly from the shape,color and decoration three aspects.As far as modeling design is concerned,natural elements of bamboo glued wood are applied to the design of bamboo glued wood furniture,using the arrangement and comparison of four elements,such as point,line,surface and body,to design a lightweight form by combining virtual and real elements;as far as color design is concerned,using color to give people a psychological sense of lightness,using bright colors to create a lightweight effect in decorative design;For example,the use of varnish finishing,and decoration and function,structure combined to present a visual sense of simplicity,so as to achieve visual lightweight bamboo laminated furniture products.
