In this paper,by selecting lanthanide, copper and cobalt ions as the centralmetals,3,5-bis(4-carboxyphenyl)pyridine(H2bcpp),3-bromo-5-(4-carboxyphenyl)pyridine(HL)and 3,5-dichlorobenzoic acid(3,5-HDCB)as main ligands,2,2′-bipyridine(bipy)as the auxiliary ligand, eight complexes have been synthesized under hydrothermal and solvothermal conditions,namely,Co3(bcpp)2(HCOO)2(H2O)2(1),CuL2(2),Ln3(3,5-DCB)9(bipy)(H2O)2·(bipy)[Ln=Nd(3),Sm(4)],Ln2(3,5-DCB)6(bipy)H2O[Ln=Eu(5),Gd(6),Tb(7),Dy(8)].These complexes were characterized by IR,elemental analysis,X-ray powder diffraction,X-ray single-crystal diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. The photoluminescence and magnetism of the partial complexes were measured by fluorescence spectrometer and magnetometer.Complex 1 possesses a 3,6-connected three-dimensional topology structure constructed from linear trinuclear Co3(COO)6 cluster and bcpp anions. In complex 2,two adjacent Cu(Ⅱ)ions are linked L to form a one-dimensional chain. Two adjacent one-dimensional chains are linked L to form a two-dimensional supramolecular layer. The oxygen atoms from the carboxylic acid group are used to extended 3,6-connected three-dimensional structure.Complexes 3 and 4 are isomorphic trinuclear structural units, with similar two-dimensional layered structures via the interaction of the hydrogen bonds.Complexes 5-8 are isomorphic dinuclear structural units, and the adjacent one-dimensional chains form supramolecular structure byπ-πstacking interaction between 2,2′-bipyridine.Complexes 1 and 2 display the luminescent properties of organic ligands.Complexes 4,5,7 and 8 exhibit the characteristic luminescent properties of lanthanide ions.Complexes 2,3,7 and 8 show the antiferromagnetic interactions between the Cu(Ⅱ),Nd(Ⅲ),Tb(Ⅲ)and Dy(Ⅲ)ions, respectively.Complexes 1,4 and 6 indicate the ferromagnetic interactions between the Co(Ⅱ),Sm(Ⅲ)and Gd(Ⅲ)ions, respectively.Complex 8 exhibits a field-induced slow magnetic relaxation behavior.
