In the working process of cam-driven brake facility,serious dry sliding friction often occur between the brake shoe’s working arc surface and the rolling pin.Medium frequency quenching technique can be used to enhance the surface hardness of brake shoe and the anti-wear ability of brake shoe’s working arc surface,but the technique has many defects like low efficient and uncontrollable heat deformation.Based on the research of the biomimetic coupling theory and the laser surface texturing technique,the article proposed a kind of biomimetic laser texturing technique which may be used to replace the medium frequency quenching in improving the anti-wear ability of brake shoe’s working arc surface,and studied the impact of biomimetic laser stripe’s characteristics on the dry sliding wear resistane of brake shoe’s material C30 carbon steel.Specifically,inspired from the soft-hard alternative feature and the non-smooth morphology feature of anti-wear creature’s surface,the article created three groups of biomimetic laser stripes with differential intervals,homogeneity and orientations.After that,the article compared the dry sliding wear resistance of biomimetic laser textured samples,quenched sample and untreated C30 carbon steel sample by dry sliding wear test and wear weight loss analysis;studied the microstructure and the hardness of biomimetic textures,studied the worn morphology and the surface outline of biomimetic sample by micro-analysis and micro-hardness test;analyzed the surface stress distribution of samples’ non-smooth surface models by Finite-element simulation.Research results denote:With the increase of texture’s interval distance from 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm,biomimetic surfaces become alternatively soft-hard,worn surfaces become non-smooth after wear,biomimetic samples become more wearable.With the increase of texture’s interval distance from 3.5 mm to 5.0 mm,the proprotion of soft phase becomes higher,biomimetic samples become unwearable.Uneven biomimetic texture could lead to large-scale surface undulation and local stress concentration of worn biomimetic sample.Even biomimetic texture could distribute load and stress reasonably,stabling the sliding wear process effectively,decreasing the wear rate of biomimetic sample.Compared with perpendicular biomimetic texture and parallel biomimetic texture,the biomimetic texture oblique to the dry sliding wear direction is more wearable.The biomimetic texture with 3.5 mm interval and 45° orientation can effectively hinder continuous ploughing while dispersing wear particles,so that the dry sliding wear resistance of C30 carbon steel can be enhanced by 70.4 %.In contrast,the quenched sample has relative hard surface,but has no soft-hard alternative surface feature and non-smooth surface structures after wear,so that the anti-wear resistance of C30 carbon steel can only be enhanced by 58.5 % after quenching heat treatment.
