In the extrusion process of titanium and titanium alloy profiles,the bending of titanium and titanium alloy profiles in different degrees due to the unstable extrusion process and process parameters has become a key difficulty affecting the extrusion production and product quality.Titanium processing enterprises mainly adopt tension straightening machine to straighten special-shaped extruded materials.The straightening process of special-shaped extruded materials has strict requirements on tension control accuracy.Therefore,the research on control technology and system of titanium and titanium alloy straightening machine has important application value.This paper analyzes the straightening machine and tension straightening process of profiles of titanium and titanium alloy in a titanium material processing enterprise,and determines the tension control and system functional requirements of the straightening machine according to the requirements of the tension control process of profiles of titanium and titanium alloy.The tension control principle of profile straightener is analyzed,the mathematical model of tension control is established,and the fuzzy PID control algorithm is used to control the tension of profile straightener.The tension control scheme and system composition of titanium and titanium alloy profile straightener are put forward.In terms of hardware,industrial Ethernet is adopted to construct tension control network of straightener.Industrial control computer,Ethernet switch,PLC,pressure sensor,electro-hydraulic proportional valve,etc.are selected to conduct tension detection and control of profile straightener.In software,force control configuration software is applied to develop straightening acquisition control program,fuzzy PID algorithm program and system human-machine interaction interface,including login interface,main working condition interface,parameter setting interface,curve display interface and report inquiry interface.OPC technology is used for force control configuration software and MATLAB data communication,to achieve the call of fuzzy PID control algorithm program,PID control parameters self-tuning,greatly improve the profile straightener tension control precision and straightening production efficiency and the quality of extrusion products.The actual operation results of tension control system of titanium and titanium alloy profile straightener show that the precision of tension control is kept within ±0.4t,and the output of tension can be adjusted within the range of 0~100t.It has important application value to improve the extruding quality of titanium and titanium alloy profiles.
