In the process of crude oil exploitation,it is easy to have stuck pump and sand-buried pipe in high sand content well,because of the underground environment and man-made mining,It seriously affects the inspection operation and service life of the pump,and restricts the continuous mining and production efficiency of the oil well.At present,most sand control pumping pumps cannot solve the problem of sedimentation and siltation of various debris such as gravel at the fixed valve assembly from the root cause.Therefore,this paper changes the direction of well fluid flow through spiral channel,proposes the lifting scheme of swirling sand carrying,designs the structure of self-cleaning pump cyclone,and optimizes the structural parameters of cyclone by means of flow field simulation.Firstly,the reasons for the sedimentation and siltation of various kinds of debris in the oil pump are analyzed,and the feasibility of the application of the swirling tool in the oil pump is discussed.The study found that changing the flow direction and velocity of the well fluid can effectively reduce the deposition of gravel at the fixed valve assembly.Then,by establishing the dynamic equation of the movement of various impurities such as gravel in the cyclone to solve the motion velocity,and the mechanism of swirling and carrying sand is studied.On this basis,the structure of the self-cleaning pump cyclone is carried out.In addition,the sand carrying flow visualization experiment and flow field simulation in the straight pipe and the cyclone are used to evaluate the sand carrying performance of the cyclone.The results show that the cyclone can increase the radial flow velocity of the well fluid and improve the sand carrying capacity.Finally,the orthogonal design method is used to optimize the main structural parameters of the cyclone diameter,length,spiral blade lead,thickness and height to obtain the optimal parameter combination.Five wells were selected for field application.The results show that the pump efficiency is increased by 20.04% on average.The self-cleaning pump cyclone has a significant effect in solving the problem of sedimentation and siltation of various debris such asgravel at the fixed valve assembly.
