Thispaperdesignedandsynthesizedanewligand,N,N’-bis(3-methylpyridin-yl)naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxamide(L)as the main ligand, different aromatic carboxylic acid[1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid(1,2-H2BDC),1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid (1,3-H2BDC),1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (1,4-H2BDC),1,4-phenylenediacetate (1,4-H2PDC),5-hydroxyisophthalic acid(5-H2HIP),2,5-thiophene dicarboxylic acid(2,5-H2TDC),3,4-thiophene dicarboxylic acid(3,4-H2TDC)]as an ancillary ligand, combined with different transition metals under hydrothermal conditions and 13 new complexes{[Ni(L)(1,4-BDC)(H2O)2]0.50(1),[Ni(L)(1,4-PDC)(H2O)2](2),[Ni(L)(5-HIP)(H2O)2]2(3),[Ni(L)(2,5-TDC)(H2O)]2·3H2O(4),[Ni(L)(3,4-TDC)(H2O)2]·3H2O(5),[Co(L)(1,2-BDC)(H2O)2]·3H2O(6),[Co(L)(1,3-BDC)(H2O)2](7),[Co(L)(5-HIP)(H2O)2]2(8),[Co(L)(2,5-TDC)(H2O)]2·3H2O(9),[Co(L)(3,4-TDC)(H2O)2]·3H2O(10),[Cd(L)(1,4-BDC)(H2O)]·H2O(11),[Cd(L)(2,5-TDC)(H2O)]2·3H2O(12),[Zn(L)(2,5-TDC)(H2O)]2·3H2O(13)]were obtained. The complexes were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction,X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and infrared spectroscopy (IR),and the electrochemical and fluorescence sensing properties of some of them were studied.1.Using L as main ligand and different aromatic carboxylic acids as auxiliary ligands under hydrothermal conditions,10 new Co/Ni complexes were synthesized. The effects of ancillary ligands on the structure of the complexes were discussed and the application of the complexes in electrochemical sensing properties was investigated.Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows that complexes 1-10 are different structures from one to three dimensional structures.Among them, complexes 1and 2 show two-dimensional grid structures, but the two-dimensional networks are different due to different ancillary ligands.Complexes 5,7 and 10 are one-dimensional structures in which complexes 5 and 10 are isomorphous, and it can also be seen that ortho-substituted ancillary ligands are good for forming one-dimensional structures. The complexes 3,4,6,8,and 9 are three-dimensional structures in which the complexes 3 and 8,4 and 9 are isomorphic. The similar structures of them are mainly due to their similar radius of Ni/Co.The title complexes are characterized by infrared(IR),thermogravi(TG)and powder X-ray diffraction(XRD),and some complexes were explored in electrochemical analysis applications.2.Using L as main ligand and different aromatic carboxylic acids as auxiliary ligands under hydrothermal conditions, three new Cd/Zn complexes were obtained.Since the central metals are d10 transition metals, fluorescence sensing properties are discussed in detail.Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows that the structures of complex 12 and13 are isomorphous. In complex 11,The L ligands link the metal ions to form a loop, which is extended by carboxylates to generate a two-dimensional structure. The L ligands of the complex 13 extend in two directions to form a three-dimensional structure. The characterizations of X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric analysis(TG)and infrared spectroscopy(IR)were carried out for all the complexes, and the fluorescence sensing of complexes11-13 were explored.
