In this paper,wood material and wooden packaging containers were taken as research objects,the mechanical properties of solid wood and plywood materials as well as the bearing mechanism of wood packaging containers in the process of logistics and transportation were analyzed by experimental and theoretical analysis methods.The effect of wood defects on the strength of the material was studied.The research provides a basis for the substitutability of plywood and solid wood.The electrical test method and the variable span three-point bending test method were used to determine the elasticity modulus,Poisson's ratio,shear modulus of solid wood(larch,douglas fir,hemlock)and plywood(side compression old glue formulation,heat compression old glue formulation,new glue formulation).The experimental result can provide basic data for subsequent finite element simulation analysis.According to the national testing standards,the bending strength and the compressive strength parallel to grain of the solid wood(larch,douglas fir,hemlock)and plywood(side compression old glue formulation,heat compression old glue formulation,new glue formulation)were measured.The bending strength and the compressive strength of the solid wood and the plywood were compared and analyzed.The nail holding ability test was carried on solid wood(larch,Douglas fir,hemlock)and plywood(side compression old glue formulation,heat compression old glue formulation,new glue formulation)using nails with different diameters and different types(round steel nails,thread nails).The influence of diameter and nail shape on the bending strength and compression of solid wood and plywood was studied.The result can provide a basis for the design of the loading and unloading connection strength of the wooden box and the matching design of the classic wood material and the nail type.According to the characteristics of mechanical and electrical products,the solid wood and plywood packaging container of electrical products was designed using the classical frame wooden box theoreticaldesign method.Combined with the theory of material mechanics and logistics packaging design,the wooden box structure in stacking and hoisting conditions are checked in their strength in the logistics process.With the ANSYS Workbench finite element simulation analysis software,the overall structure lifting and stacking conditions of plywood box and solid wood box were simulated and analyzed,and the maximum deformation and maximum stress of the whole structure of plywood box and solid wood box were compared.The simulation results show that it is feasible for plywood boxes to replace solid wood boxes.
