High-speed milling has become one of the main processing methods of dies. The surface quality of the dies has a great impact on the service performance of the dies, and has a direct impact on the life of the dies.At present, the research on the machined surface quality of high-speed milling is mostly focused on how to obtain high-precision machined surface by controlling the processing process, but less on the surface performance. The non-smooth surface morphology of some organisms in nature has good wear resistance, drag reduction and other characteristics.Referring to the biological wear-resistant surface, the design of structural parameters according to functional requirements and the control of its formation by high-speed milling are worthy of our in-depth study. In this paper, based on the surface bionics and high-speed cutting theory, the machined surface morphology and wear resistance obtained by high-speed milling of Cr12 MoV are analyzed under the support of the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China "Design,Characterization and Precise Manufacturing of Wear-resistant Functional Surface under High-speed Milling Conditions".The main research contents are as follows: Firstly, the bionic non-smooth surface prototype is determined by choosing the non-smooth shape of the biological surface which has good wear resistance in nature.According to the influence of high-speed milling process parameters on the surface micro-morphology,the simulation processing was carried out by using Matlab software. The micro-surface morphology parameters were obtained by changing the processing parameters such as row spacing, feed rate, rotational speed and inclination angle.Secondly, according to the specific situation of the surface morphology in the actual processing, the surface formation test of hardened steel die is carried out to verify the accuracy of simulation, and the influence of cutting parameters on the roughness and other parameters is analyzed. Finally, aiming at the influence of workpiece surface morphology on service performance, reciprocating wear tests were carried out on various workpieces with different morphologies on a friction and wear tester. The wear resistance of bionic non-smooth surfaces was studied by combining the wear amount of the samples obtained from the test results and the damage degree of the micro-morphologies obtained by ultra-depth-of-field microscopy.Based on the above analysis and the analysis data of Spass software,an iteration model of milling surface is established.By changing the corresponding processing parameters, the generation of objective functional surface is controlled, and the model is used to guide the selection of milling parameters of die surface.
