This study aims to examine the impact of oil export on economic growth in Nigeria.This study was made use of quantitative secondary data from the Central Bank of Nigeriastatistical bulletin(2019)to carry out the study.The study period was 30 years(1987-2017).The empirical perspective of this study employed Ordinary Least Square(OLS).Empirical evidence from economic indicatorssuch as fuel export,Electricity production from oil sources,natural gas rent,oil rent and gross domestic product per capital were examined.This findings revealed that the oil sector export has varied relationship with economic growth which was revealed by the OLS result.It is recommended that for oil exports to have a stronger relationship with economic growth,the Nigerian government has to invest ininfrastructural development,as well as human capital development that will support the positive effects from oil export.
