The Dagushan Iron Mine is located 12 km southeast of Anshan City and has a mining history of more than 100 years. In the late Qing Dynasty,Japanese spies conducted detailed investigations and surveys.Since the excavation in 1916,Dagushan has been excavated from a 280 m high mountain into a-414 m mine. The reputation of "Asia's deepest open-pit iron mine" has also been name.In the long history of mining, the Dagushan Iron Mine played an indispensable role for China's industrial construction and economic take-off,but it also exposed certain problems. The 2# and 3# lanes of the northwestern side of Dagushan Iron Mine were built in 1986.At the beginning of this century, lining cracking occurred, and the backwater of the roadway was followed. The occurrence of water inrush interferes with the normal construction work inside the roadway, and also poses a certain threat to the life safety of the roadway workers. To thoroughly manage the flooding of the roadway in the northwest of Dagushan Iron Mine and prevent and control the occurrence of safety accidents, identifying the source of water inrush is the most important and necessary part of the research. This paper relies on the project “Development of the cause and prevention of water in the roadway and slope of the northwest end of Dagushan Iron Mine”,combined with field investigation and historical data collection, with structural analysis, watershed hydrological analysis, multivariate statistical analysis and hydrogeochemistry.Analytical methods were used to systematically and thoroughly study the water inrush in the northwest side of Dagushan Iron Mine. The results show that the Dagushan iron ore is surrounded by faults, and the faults and fracture zones in the mining area are widely developed. The 2# and 3# roadways are interspersed with three fault planes F14,F15 and F19,combined with fault strikes and roadways. The positional relationship is preliminarily estimated to be from the surface water and groundwater on the west or north side of the Dagushan Iron Mine.According to the water chemistry data of water samples collected by hydrogeological survey in winter and summer, the multi-statistic clustering analysis method was used to find that the internal water in the roadway was from the surface water and shallow groundwater in the northwest of Xiejiafang,Dagushan Iron Mine, and the water in the roadway. It has homology with the gully water in the northwest, and the water chemistry of the water in the winter and summer has not changed much. Finally,PHREEQC software was used to study the water-rock interaction of shallow groundwater around Dagushan Iron Mine.Through the reverse simulation of different paths, the shallow groundwater migration around Dagushan Iron Mine was further revealed. The reason why the various ion data of groundwater changed, and detailed simulation of the dissolution and precipitation of various minerals along the way when the water in the roadway flows from the source to the inside of the roadway.
