In 2003,the eu issued the ROHS directive and the WEEE decree,which restricted the use of a variety of halogenated flame retardants,such as polybrominated biphenyls(PBB)and polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDE),while phosphorous flame retardants have the characteristics of low smoke and excellent flame retardant performance,and become substitutes for halogenated flame retardants.Polyols and phosphate ester flame retardant is an important branch of phosphorus-containing flame retardant on the phosphate ester flame retardant is introduced into active groups(-OH,-NH2)group,as a reactive flame retardant,add in the flame retardant materials,not only excellent flame retardant performance,and to overcome precipitation in flame retardant materials,and the problem of migration as well as play a role of flame retardant with antioxidant and plasticizing effect.Compared with halogen flame retardants,the flame retardant performance is durable,efficient and green.Therefore,triethylene glycol(ethylene glycol)phosphite,triethylene glycol(1,2-propylene glycol)phosphite,triethylene glycol(dipropylene glycol)phosphite(P430),tripropylene glycol(tripropylene glycol)phosphite and trihydroxy(1-hydroxy ethoxy)propyl)phosphite(TPTPP)are designed and synthesized in this paper.TPTPP flame retardant was added to the flame retardant modification of rigid polyurethane foam.The research contents are as follows.Literature synthesis three(ethylene glycol)phosphite ester,(1,2-propanediol)phosphite,P430,three(glycerin)phosphite these four kinds of polyols phosphite ester flame retardant methods for diethyl phosphite and triphenyl phosphite as raw material to synthesis of ester exchange reaction,but the two methods exist,high energy consumption and low yield issue.And based on the synthesis of diethyl phosphite and triphenyl phosphite raw materials of phosphorus trichloride,and ethylene glycol,1,2-propanediol respectively,a shrinkage dipropylene glycol,glycerol as raw material,tetrahydrofuran as solvent,three(ethylene glycol)phosphite ester synthesis,3-(1,2-propanediol)phosphite,P430,three(glycerin)phosphite these four kinds of polyols phosphite ester flame retardant,through the orthogonal experiment and further optimize the experiment,explored the bound acid agent,way of feeding,reaction temperature and reaction time on the influence of the reaction yield.Compared with previous methods,it has low energy consumption,high yield and is easy for industrial production.Literature synthesis TPTPP phosphite ester of method is:1-hydrogen peroxide with trimethyl phosphite and base-3-(1-hydroxy ethoxy)c-2-alcohol referred to as(HHP)ester exchange method to synthesize target product,this article USES the lab homemade ionic liquid catalyst,trimethyl phosphite and 1-hydrogen peroxide-3-(1-hydroxy ethoxy)c-2-alcohol(HHP)as raw material to the ester exchange method for short TPTPP synthesis of target products,through the orthogonal experiment and further optimize the experiment,explored the way of feeding,reaction temperature,reaction time and catalyst on the reaction yield and the effect of acid value.Compared with the previous method,the yield was increased from 86%to 94.5%,and the catalyst was easy to be separated.The structure of the product was characterized by NMR and ir,and the content of acid value and hydroxyl value phosphorus was tested.The polyol reactive flame retardant TPTPP was added to rigid polyurethane foam to test the foaming property,flame retardant property,mechanical property and various properties after thermal aging.
