Water pollution is now the focus of worldwide concern, not only seriously threatening human life and health, and will greatly limit the increase in Gross Domestic Product(GDP).The sources of water pollution include chemical industry, petroleum processing.pharmaceutical industry, brewing industry, papermaking industry, domestic wastewater and so on.Organic azo dye is a serious imp act on human metabolism of carcinogenic substances.Adsorption technology is regarded as one of the most efficient methods for the removal of dyes in wastewater due to its advantages of simple operation, high efficiency and low cost.Electro static interaction is an important interaction in the adsorption process,so materials with specific charge distribution have been widely studied and applied in adsorptio n study. The m olybdenum-based adsorbents were modified by controlling the preparation conditions to make them capable of highly selective adsorption of organic pollutants. The main research focuses of this paper are as follows:Molybdenum oxide materials with different oxygen vacancies(Ovac)concentration were prepared by microwave one-step method, and the surface charge distribution were different.Due to the tendency of negative charge on the surface of Ovac molybdenum oxide,it is applied to the selective adsorption of the organic pollutant cationic azo dye Methylene Blue(MB)in water contamination. We investigated the relationship between oxygen vacancies concentration and adsorption performance. The relationship between adsorption performance and oxygen vacancies concentration was discussed combining the analysis results of experimental characterization and specific experimental data.We determined that Bi2MoO6 nanosheets can be controlled by ionic liquids(ILs)with ammonium cation alkyl cha in lengths and polar anions and their adsorption capacities for azo molecules are in good agreement with the ?-profiles obtained from conductor-like screening model for realistic solvents.Particularly, monolayer Bi2MoO6 exhib its a superhigh adsorption cap acity of 468 mg/g for Congo Red(CR),and a molecular dynamics simulation reveals the adso rption p rocess has diffusion, association, and equilibrium step s.This work establishes a method to control 2D monolayer and provides insight into the adsorption behavior.
