In this paper, highly efficient porous carbon materials were prepared by regenerating deactivated MTBE resins.Scanning electron microscopy, nitrogen adsorption&desorption analysis and Raman spectroscopy were used to analyze porous carbons and the results showed that samples are equipped with abundant porous structures and distinguishing surface area. The regenerated porous carbons have been applied in removing Cr(?).When the prepared porous carbons are used in the field of highly toxic hexavalent chromium ion removal, porous carbon adsorbents coated with cerium oxide particles were obtained by one-step impregnation synthesis from the viewpoint of metal ion modification to form complex structures. The impacts of impregnation time, precursor concentration and impregnation temperature on removal rate were investigated. It was found that the optimum temperature was 70 ? and the concentration of 0.03 mol/L.At the same time, the static and dynamic adsorption properties of porous carbon and ceria modified porous carbons were measured. It was found that the removal rate of the modified adsorbent was close to 100%.The existence of nano-cerium dioxide and its effect on the surface condition and porous structures of adsorbents were verified by a list of characterization methods. The adsorption kinetics and isothermal adsorption curves were also explored in this experiment. The results show that there are both single-layer and multi-layer adsorption in this adsorption process, and it belongs to second-order adsorption kinetics.Samples were simultaneously used in NO catalytic oxidation reaction, aiming at solving the two major problems of high reaction temperature and leakage of reducing gas in current SCR technology. In this study,nitrogen-doped porous carbon was synthesized by impregnation method. The impregnation temperature, time and the amount of impregnation solution were investigated.Different calcination temperatures were also investigated. It was found that 600? was the best calcination temperature. Moreover, thermogravimetric analysis,Raman,X-ray diffraction and XPS were used to study the reason that NC-600 had the highest catalytic activity. It was found that pyridine N-6 and graphite N-Q were formed when nitrogen-doped porous carbon was calcined at 600 ?.Based on the existing theory, the mechanism of catalytic reaction with electron transference is proposed, which provides a new idea for the follow-up study of heteroatom doped carbon materials.
