Metal-containing polymers have attracted more and more attention in the past few decades.Compared with conventional organic polymers,metal-containing polymers have unique optical,electrical and magnetic properties on account of metal atoms in their molecular skeletons.The original carbolong chemistry of our research group is based on the chemistry of metalla-aromatics compounds,and the currently synthesized carbolong complexes mainly contain osmium metal.The introduction of carbolong complexes into polymer chains not only enriches the classes of metal-containing polymers,but also plays an important role in the development of metal-containing polymers with novel structures and functions.In this thesis,a series of multifunctional polymers containing osmium metalla-aromatic building block were prepared,and the main content of the thesis is summarized as follows:In charpter 1,the carbolong chemistry,metal-containing polymers,light-controlled self-healing,and shape memory materials are briefly introduced.In the end,the assumption and purpose of this thesis are presented.In charpter 2,thermal sensitive block copolymers(mPEG-PNIPAM)modified with carbolong complex were synthesized and thermal assembly of these polymers in aqueous solution were studied in detail.Study showed that the polymers can assemble into micellar structures with uniform particle size under light irradiation.In charpter 3,linear polyurethanes with 12-carbolong complex in the main chain were synthesized.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first time to integrate the osmium metal atom into a polymer main chain.Taking advantage of the outstanding photothermal effect of 12-carbolong complex,the polyurethanes acted an excellent light-controlled self-healing behavior,and the mechanical property of the material maintained well after several healing cycles.In charpter 4,crosslinked metal-containing polymer networks with 12-carbolong complex and reversible dynamic covalent tbonds were synthesized.The carbolong complex endowed the crosslinked polyurethanes light-controlled self-healing property,together with light-controlled shape memory property thanks to the reversible crystallization of polycaprolactone segment in the main chain o f polymers.In charpter 5,the main content of this thesis is summarized and the future work is prospected.
