With the emphasis on the quality of the living environment, and along with the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, the use of clean energy is growing.Among them, the application of solar energy has been widely concerned, especially the development of organic solar cells has made rapid achievements,dye-sensitized solar cells as a branch of thin film organic solar cells, has been the most concerned research and development field, recently with the innovation of materials, technology and continuous research and development, new research results are constantly emerging. As an active material for the coating of a dye-sensitized cells, the performance of the dye plays a decisive role in power conversion efficiency(PCE)of cells.Among them, the near-infrared dye is a frequently used as active material, and the thiodiene metal complex is a complex containing a coordination metal atom, which is a kind of organic dye with strong absorption in the infrared region. It is widely used due to its good photothermal stability and strong absorption in the near infrared region.Thiodiene metal complexes have a relatively large range of absorbable bands in the near-infrared region, through the design of molecule, under the condition of good solubility, the complexes keep photothermal stability, meanwhile effectively utilize the near-infrared region, how to achieve this goal is the central issue of this research. For this target, three thiodiene metal complexes were designed and synthesized, and their photothermal stability properties were investigated. In order to investigate the factors affecting the photothermal stability of the thiodiene metal complex, the researches utilized the two thiodiene metal complexes prepared by our research group, the factors affecting the photothermal stability of thiodiene metal complexes were investigated.By comparing the organic skeleton, the substituent of the organic skeleton, and the central metal atom, the photothermal stability of the complex can be analysed. The UV spectral analysis displayed that the organic skeleton and the kind of substituent did not affect the maximum absorption wavelength of the thiodiene metal complex, but the different central metal atom of complexes obviously changed the maximum absorption wavelength;on the basis of thermogravimetric analysis, the thermal stability of complexes was rele with the molecular structure of complexes, the five investigated complexes showed the different thermal stability. And the thermogravimetric showed the organic skeleton and the central metal atom arised a considerable effect for the stability of the thiodiene metal complexes.
