In this paper, based on the extensive literature review at home and abroad, the latest achievements on the stability analysis and prevention and control engineering measures of the dump were summarized;Based on the existing mine foundation data and site investigation, the engineering geological conditions and the basic characteristics of the slope to be treated are identified, and the rock and soil physical and mechanical parameters are determined comprehensively. The possible deformation and failure modes of the slope are analyzed and the stability of the slope is evaluated, the analysis result of limit equilibrium method shows that under natural conditions, the whole dump is in a stable state;under the condition of full water,in the critical state, local deformation and failure occur along the inside of the slag body. The result of numerical simulation shows that under the natural state, the overall soil dump is basically stable;under the condition of full water, major deformation and failure have occurred, with the maximum displacement of about 45 cm,and the safety reserve of the soil dump is insufficient. The stability analysis is basically consistent with the macroscopic geological survey. The stability analysis results of the basic characteristics such as the shape and deformation of the soil dump and the hazardous objects are considered comprehensively,Firstly, two feasible comprehensive control engineering schemes are proposed.Scheme 1:scaling and load reduction + retaining wall + lattice slope protection + intercepting drainage ditch + ecological greening + monitoring and warning.Scheme 2: slope surface shaping + anti-slide pile + intercepting drainage + afforestation + monitoring and warning; Then taking into account the technical and economic environment and other factors, the analytic hierarchy process(ahp)was used to optimize the comparison of the above two engineering schemes, and the first scheme was determined to be the project scheme for the proposed disposal site. Finally, according to the current technical standards, the project layout and structural monitoring of plan 1 were designed.Through the implementation of this project, not only can the stability of the slope in this dump be effectively solved, geological disasters can be prevented, but also the ecological vegetation of the slope in the dump is restored, and theenvironment condition of the surrounding rapid passageway under the slope is beautified.
