Large scale aspheric optics have excellent optical properties,which are widely used in large astronomical telescopes,satellite optical systems,laser fusion devices and other high-end scientific and technological fields.With the continuous improvement of the performance requirements of optical systems in various high-tech fields,not only the processing efficiency of optical components has higher requirements,but also the requirements of technical parameters such as aperture,surface accuracy,surface and sub-surface quality of optical components are increasing.Diamond wheel grinding is not only the main processing technology of large-aperture optical aspheric surface,and its processing quality decide the time-consuming problem of subsequent polishing to remove the damage layer.The stability and controllability of grinding equipment and processing process has become the core issue of improving the performance of precision and ultra-precision grinding machine tools.Therefore,it is of great significance to strengthen the development and application of ultra-precision grinding equipment and its key technologies.Although structural optimization and innovative design can greatly improve the performance of machine tools,they are limited by development costs and existing market share.During the operation of grinding machine,it is difficult to avoid the problems of force deformation,friction thermal deformation and vibration error of moving parts,which result in the reduction of positioning accuracy and dynamic performance of the machine tool,thus affecting the processing accuracy and surface quality.With the aid of sensor detection technology,obtainning the dynamic process signals of grinding machine and grinding process,establishing the relationship between signal characteristics and machine tool error and grinding wheel performance,on-line monitoring and feedback control are the main means to achieve stable quality and high precision grinding under existing hardware conditions.Based on the major national science and technology projects,and aiming at the laboratory-developed ultra-precision grinding machine UPG80 for large-caliber optical elements,this paper builds an intelligent monitoring system for precision grinding equipment to ensure the safe and stable operation of machine tools and maintain the stability of grinding quality.This paper describes the overall structure of the monitoring system,and use high-performance NJ-PXI and related hardware to build the monitoring hardware platform.The monitoring software is developed in Lab VIEW.The method of combining internal,internal and external sensors is adopted to realize the collection,analysis and management of dynamic signals and related data in the process of grinding operation and grinding process.Supported by SQL Server database,a monitoring database for grinding machine is created.Based on the analysis and control of large data in the whole life process of grinding machine,the ultimate goal of stable intelligent grinding is achieved.Finally,the monitoring system is tested in the aspheric surface processing of UPG80 grinder,and the thermal stability is monitored,which verifies the feasibility of the system.
