Hydroxyl-terminated polymethylsiloxane,as one of the important products of silicone materials,is widely used in construction,aerospace,electrical and other industries.However,nowadays,the production process of hydroxyl-terminated polymethylsiloxane has no specific industry specifications and process flow,which leads to the confusion of the current production mode,so that the product quality can not meet the growing social needs.In this paper,based on the existing production conditions and foundation of the author's company,the design and adjustment of the production process of hydroxyl-terminated polymethylsiloxane were carried out.Firstly,the selection and optimization of raw materials,equipment,process flow and catalyst are carried out,so that the process flow is more reasonable,simple and effective,the product quality is stable,the production can reduce energy consumption,safety,environmental protection and other aspects meet the requirements of national standards,and the operation environment has been greatly improved.The main research results of production process optimization include the following aspects:(1)Firstly,the screening of process equipment has changed most of the batch polymerization,degradation and neutralization production lines on the market into batch polymerization,degradation,neutralization and semi-continuous production lines in multi-stage small kettles,thus improving the production efficiency of products.(2)By adjusting the technological parameters and operation mode,the amount of catalyst added in the polymerization process was reduced from 50 ppm to 15 ppm,which saved the cost and improved the product quality and made the appearance colorless and transparent.In production,the added water was still liquid at high temperature by adjusting the degradation pressure to negative pressure and adding water,and continuing to pressurize it with nitrogen to 0.35-0.4 Mpa.Fully participating in the degradation reaction,the molecular weight of the product can be effectively controlled in the fluctuation range of about 10%,which greatly improves the stability of single production,and the production efficiency can be improved,and the yield of the product is above 96%.At the same time,the polymerization time was shortened by 30 minutes,the degradation time was shortened by 60 minutes,the yield of existing equipment was doubled,and the overall output value and profit were doubled.(3)More standardized operation method is adopted in operation,which reduces the operation errors of employees and makes the 10,000-ton equipment safer and more environmentally friendly.
