| Optical fiber communication has many advantages such as large transmission capacity and good secrecy.It has been developing rapidly in recent years.The development of optical fiber communication depends on the development of all kinds of optical devices.As one of the most important components in optical communication system,the polarization controller has gradually developed to miniaturization,integration,high extinction ratio and low energy consumption in order to meet the requirements of integrated optics.Due to the unique band structure,excellent electro-optical modulation characteristics and optical characteristics of wide band response of graphene,the graphene coated fiber polarizer can realize the conversion of the TEpass polarizer and the TMpass polarizer,and can work in a wide wavelength range,so it is very suitable for the design of fiber polarizer.In this paper,the polarization properties of graphene coated side hole fiber and suspended core fiber are analyzed by finite element method.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,based on consulting a large number of domestic and foreign related literature,the paper reviews the research progress of graphene coated fiber polarizers.The characteristics of graphene,the polarization principle of the graphene coated fiber,the principle of the finite element method and the simulation process are analyzed.Secondly,the graphene coated circular core side hole fiber polarizer is proposed.Through the simulation of the finite element method,the polarization effect of three kinds of optical fiber coated graphene with circular core circular hole,circular core ellipse hole and circular core rectangular hole is analyzed and compared.On the basis of theoretical simulation,the scheme is made clear that the structure of the circular core rectangular hole fiber structure of the overlying graphene has the best polarization effect.Thirdly,the influence of the rectangular hole size and the rectangular hole position on the performance of the polarizer is analyzed.The interaction intensity of light and graphene is added to the high refractive index layer,and the range of the polarizer is discussed.Then the electrooptic modulation is simulated and analyzed.Finally,the graphene coated suspended core optical fiber polarizer is proposed.The influence of the core ellipticity,the core position,the thickness and wavelength of the high refractive index layer on the polarization properties of the suspended core fiber of the graphite coated graphite are simulated and analyzed by the finite element method,and the electro-optical modulation is simulated and analyzed.At the same time,the performance parameters of the two polarizers are compared with the current research results. |
