Fault-block controlled edge-water reservoirs play an important role in oilfield development.They have the following characteristics,such as fault development,complex structures,and complex oil-water relationships.The strength of edge water energy has a significant impact on the development results.Generally,the development effect of the strong edge water reservoir is better than that of the weak one.The study of reservoir characteristics and rational development methods of fault-block controlled edge-water reservoirs is of important guiding significance to the understanding of similar reservoirs and the development of development plans.In this paper,X37 and L107 block are taken as examples,through the analysis and comparison of geological characteristics and reservoir development status,the reservoir characteristics and development characteristics of the two types of fault-bound controlled edge-water reservoirs,weak edge water and strong edge water,were studied.Then,combined with reservoir engineering and reservoir numerical simulation,the reasonable development mode of the fault block controlled side water reservoir is studied.Based on the geological data of X37 and L107 fault blocks,the reservoir characteristics were analyzed and compared from four aspects: structural characteristics,sedimentary microfacies,reservoir rock properties,and formation fluid properties.It was found that the faults in the study area were developed and the structures were complex,the type of sedimentary microfacies in the study area of X37 is more complex,and the reservoir petrophysical properties and formation fluid properties are all inferior to the L107 study area.Using the reservoir engineering method,the reservoir development features of the X37 and L107 study areas were analyzed and compared.Studies have shown that L107 research areas that rely on sufficient edge water energy for development have better development indicators than the X37 research area with insufficient edge water energy.At the same time,the current well density was evaluated.Using Eclipse software,the reservoir numerical simulation model of X37 research area was established,the production history was fitted,and the distribution of remaining oil was studied.In order to improve the development status of the X37 research area,through the research on the development effect of different side water energy and the position of water injection well,the parameters of water injection development are optimized,and the development characteristics of strong edge water reservoir are simulated artificially,so that it can reach and exceed the production index under the condition of strong edge water.Finally,combined with the above studies,the rational development method of block-controlled edge-water reservoirs was determined. |
