Isoquinoline alkaloids,as natural components, are widely distributed in the plant kingdom. Most,if not all, isoquinoline alkaloids accompanied with features of diverse structural types, high drug-like and extensive physiological activities. In this thesis, the purpose is to take the traditional folk medicinal plant Thalictrum as the research object, and carry out the targeted isoquinoline alkaloids components.Furthermore, with a further directed test on their biological function that originated from folk medicine.Herein, enriched the diversity of isoquinoline compounds and provided some material basis for the medicinal use of Thalictrum plants.Chapter 1 Composition and Biological Activities of Isoquinoline Alkaloids from Thalictrum WangiiT.wangii is a genus Thalictrum plant, belonging to the Ranucculaceae family, which mainly distributed in Lijiang county.Tibetan medicine used it to treat enteritis and anthrax.Enlightened by the diverse bioactivities and intriguing structures of isoquinoline alkaloids, investigation of T.wangii led to the isolation of 46 isoquinoline alkaloids.Among them,9 new compounds was identified. The anti-tumor activity of those compounds were screened, and the results showed that some compounds have a certain potential for stem cells cancer-fighting.Chapter 2 Chemical constituents and biological activities of Thalictrum delavayiT.delavayi, named “Mawei huanglian”,is a perennial Chinese mediainal plant which mainly indigenous in southwestern China. In Kunming,it is often used as a folk herb in local ethnic minorities region. Its rhizomes and roots are used as medicine to treat enteritis, dysentery, jaundice, swelling and pain in the eyes.A systematic study was conducted on the total alkaloids of T.delavayi, and 29 compounds were identified.Among them,17 isoquinoline alkaloids and 12 non-alkaloids(mainly lignans)were identified. The compounds were screened on immunosuppressive and antibacterial activities in vitro. The results showed that some of these compounds had potential to immune-inhibitive and antibacterial effect.
