Titanium alloy is a high-strength,corrosion-resistant material with excellent thermal stability.The application of titanium alloys has become more and more extensive with the development of aerospace technology.Pressure vessels,skeletons and cooling holes in the aerospace field are all made of titanium alloys.The improvement of the precision of the industry has led to an increasing demand for aspect ratio hole in titanium alloys.The effect of micro-EDM processing has nothing to do with the hardness of the material,it is more suitable for machining difficult-to-cut materials.However,since thermal conductivity of the titanium alloy is poor,and the machining effect needs to be further improved in the processing of small hole on Titanium alloy by EDM.The characteristics and difficulties of the processing of small hole on titanium alloys by micro-EDM had been studied at the beginning.Then the factors that influence the machining efficiency and processing quality of deep holes in titanium alloys had been analyzed.Then,based on the processing problems of titanium alloy by micro-EDM,a composite pulse power combining the characteristics of pulse width pulse power supply and RC pulse power supply was designed and fabricated.Then,according to the processing characteristics of micro-EDM deep hole in titanium alloy,a set of micro-EDM servo control system was designed,including servo detection circuit,servo controller and host computer control interface.The influences of average voltage control,fuzzy control,self-adjustment algorithm,and neural network on-line optimization fuzzy control algorithm on micro-EDM deep hole machining were studied.Finally,the power supply was used for processing experiments,and the processing performance of various algorithms was compared.By designing micro-EDM composite pulse power supply,discharge detection loop and servo control algorithm,the processing system for small hole on titanium alloy by micro-EDM was constructed in this paper.It can improve the processing efficiency of small hole on titanium alloys and the processing quality,reduce the electrode wear rate.
