Environmental Security Of Russia In The Early 21 Century

This thesis is dedicated to the current situation in the field of environmental security in Russia.In my opinion,this is quite an important topic for the Russian Federation,since the present situation allows people to say that there are enough problems in this country that require active solutions and approaches.The existing governance of environmental security in Russia requires further improvements and adjustments.In the first chapter,the author analyzes the concepts of "environmental security" and"ensuring environmental security." Both terms were coined by Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev in the 1980s,and since then it has been actively used by various countries.Further the author gets acquainted with the current legislation of Russia,which contributes to the maintenance of environmental safety and comes to the conclusion that today there is a system for maintaining environmental safety in Russia.In Chapter 2,the author considers the dynamics of an environmental safety system in Russia beginning from the 1990s to the present.The invention of such a system was a response to numerous environmental challenges in a young Russian state.The contemporary Russian system of environmental safety does not solve all possible problems.Within the system,there are certain shortcomings,which result in some problems.In the framework of this thesis,these shortcomings were analyzed,and ways for possible solutions to existing problems were suggested.
