Vanadium oxide is the main vanadium product,most of which are used in the steel industry.Vanadium nitride as a steelmaking additive can significantly enhance the intensity,flexibility and other properties of the steel.In recent years,the Chinese vanadium nitride project develops rapidly,vanadium nitride mainstream industrial production process includes push board kiln and vertical frequency furnace reduction technology.Characteristics of process equipment,production,operation,cost and product quality of the two are different,and have urgent problems.A company of Shaanxi with an annual output of 10,000 tons of vanadium nitride,apply vertical frequency furnace reduction technology and the the push board kiln reduction technology at first stage of a project.In order to ensure the sustainable development of the company,the operation status and the service vitality of the furnace,and to ensure efficient production,the main technical and economic evaluation of two kinds of production process,as well as the reasonable arrangement of the enterprise mainstream production technology are analyzed based on industrial practice.Through the thermal balance calculation and analysis and computer aided research on the temperature field in the kiln as well,the design,transformation and the thermal system of kiln are evaluated and optimized scientifically.Relevant research work has important referential significance for the selection of production process and technical upgrading of the enterprise.Kiln is the core equipment for the production of vanadium nitride.It is also the most energy consuming equipment in production,and its energy consumption accounts for more than 80% of the total energy consumption.In order to reduce energy consumption effectively,in this study,the author made a comprehensive analysis and a comparison of the applicability and characteristics of two kinds of production process of vanadium nitride,initially identified two project production push board kiln reduction furnace main design parameters based on literature,field research,production data analysis,heat balance calculation,simulation of temperature field.(1)Based on a comprehensive analysis of the actual production data of the push plate kiln and vertical frequency furnace producing vanadium nitride,the author made quantitative analysis in the furnace construction,maintenance,operation,dust processing,energy consumption,investment,product quality and environmental protection level.You can find during large scale and stable production,push board kiln has numerous of advantages in many aspects,convenient vertical frequency furnace capacity adjustment,there are obvious advantages in small scale production,which can be used as a supplement to push plate kiln production system.(2)According to the annual 1000 t vanadium nitride push plate kiln and channel estimation scheme,the heat balance calculation of the thermodynamic equilibrium was carried out;The author analyzed the factors that affect the heat balance,finds out the thermal problems,and put forward the push board kiln energy-saving technologies and means,then the two optimal design of the new double push plate kiln was processed.Through a thermal balance calculation,the author improves the furnace energy saving technology and the way for energy utilization,making a scientific evaluation and suggestions for the kiln design,construction and site operation,and providing a guidance of kiln process adjustment,and lay a basis for energy saving.(3)Established the vanadium nitride particle reaction model and calculation model,and computer simulation was made by ANSYS Workbench Fluent.It is a typical largescale software work to push board kiln platform,simulating the temperature field distribution of the push plate kiln cavity single heating section and double heating section,and the uniformity of temperature field is analyzed.(4)The temperature field numerical reduction process of push board kiln in nitriding of the simulation results were validated in order to improve the productivity,without changing the original constant thermal system.The speed of the interval time was optimized,the optimized material ball through the main kiln needed 25.7h in the heating section,reducing 1.8h than preoptimized;Production at the original condition of foundation can be increased by 6.45%,after the optimization,the amount of power consumption for tons reduced to 93.95% than before.
