The continuous development of social productive forces greatly enriched the types of the material in daily necessities,among which the high-quality ceramic bowl is increasingly favored by the people.At present,the traditonal detection for the shape and defect of ceramic bowl is still operator-dependent,inefficient,and labor-intensive.Moreover,false and missed detection was easily caused by operators' emotional and physical problems.Therefore,a high-speed,high-precision,automated online detection system for ceramic bowl defect is urgently developed.Machine vision provides a promising technology to solve these problems.This thesis aims to develop a machine vision-based technology to detect the defect characteristics of the ceramic bowl in the manufacturing process.The following studies were carried out on this system:1.The automatic detection system for daily porcelain products was developed.This system includes the machine vision part,mechanical automatic line part and the control part,which can be used to measure and evaluate the roundness and surface quality of the daily porcelain products.2.The machine vision part was designed and constructed to realize the knowledge of the porcelain products.Based on the optical sensors,the image processing technology was studied by utilizing the Matlab software,with which the roundness,cracks and slags of the daily porcelain products can be analyzed.3.The mechanical part of detection system was design and manufactured.This system can realize the automatic turning-around of the porcelain products by using two transportation line with a defined height difference.This mechanical system includes the former/end guidance part and anti-re-turn-around structure to guide the products going through the detection system.4.The control strategy and software were also developed.The whole measuring system was debugged and corrected according to measuring requirement of daily porcelain products.The results showed that this detection system is feasible in measuring the roundness quality of the daily porcelain products.
