Research On The Local Characteristics And Artistic Form Of Traditional Folk Handwoven Fabric From Shaanxi

Shaanxi is one of the cradles of the Chinese culture.At the beginning,textile production was connected human civilization.Shaanxi traditional folk handwoven fabric which generated in agricultural era.is an important part of the traditional manual weaving.The rustic cotton fabric which is woven by rural women themselves for personal use develops modern handloom fabric of commercialization its mode is“company +peasant household".Along with the times changing,it changes to take place in the living conditions,cultural connotation and artistic characteristics of Shaanxi traditional folk handwoven fabric.The author investigated through fieldwork,gathering some relatively first-hand information and analysising clearly.It summarized local Characteristics and Artistic form of Shaanxi traditional folk handwoven fabric.This paper presents the resarch results through four aspects:Firstly,the author expounded the historical evolution of the Shaanxi traditional folk handwoven fabric.The origin of Shaanxi traditional manual weaving,inheritance situation and the development of contemporary of traditional folk handwoven fabric are elaborated.Secondly,its local characteristics has been summarized.They are mainly reflected in usage and cultural connotation of weaving pattern.That contains the interest,wisdom and philosophy.Thirdly,Its features have been summarized.They are mainly reflected in fabric craft,weaving pattern,color.Finally,The author investigated through fieldwork to discovery the manual and the unique aesthetic feeling of the fabric that has local characteristics.The fabric's application in Home Furnishing is achieved perfectly.Through the discussion of the above sections,on the one hand,the theory system of Shaanxi traditional folk handwoven fabric become more perfect.On the other hand,through the analysis of its cultural artistic connotation,it offers theory surpport for the development and utilization of the handwoven fabric in artistic and social practice.
