In the circulation process,the package reduced the influence of external forces to protect the goods is called cushion packaging.The goods from production to final consumption process,involving the handling,transportation,warehousing and other processes,goods may be subject to external shocks,vibration,compression,and friction between each other and so on.When the degree of the external force exceeds the limit to the commodity withstood,commodity damage occurs in different extent.To take the most reasonable way of packaging and protect products in the greatest degree,designers need to understand the characteristics of the product,and second,to understand the environment that the good keeps.Taken the view of cushioning material to absorb energy,this study combines the external factors and material specifications,analysises the dynamic performance of cushioning material.Determining the object in the foamed polyethylene material EPE,this study analysises the dynamics of the material cushioning by dynamic compression tests at different heights and different impact quality.Based on the dynamic compression test,comparised with "maximum acceleration-static stress" curve of EPE with the different height impact,the result visually characterizes dynamic cushioning performance of EPE in normal environment and the absorbed energy of EPE under different dynamic impact conditions.Experimental results show that the impact quality and impact height will affect the dynamic cushioning performance of EPE.When static stress is in the range of 3-4kPa,dynamic compression curves will have the lowest point.The maximum impact acceleration corresponding to the lowest point will decrease as the density and thickness increased,and will increase with impact height increased.It can be seen from the trend of dynamic curve,with the density and the thickness of the material increasing,the static stress range of the dynamic cushioning curve will increase,curve trend will be more gentle,the growth rate of the value of the maximum acceleration will decline.This topic also use laser displacement sensor to acquire the real-time deformation of EPE and study dynamic compression performance with different thickness of EPE.This topic analysises and establishes the relationship between the deformation of the material,energy absorption rate,thickness,density,impact height,the quality impact,and the maximum acceleration,and analysises the relationship between the cushioning material and the absorbed energy.At any one complete dynamic cushioning curve,the energy absorption rate increases with the static stress increased,and material deformation increases with static stress increased.In determining the conditions of the total energy,for the same density and thickness of the material,as the impact height increases,the material deformation is increased,the maximum acceleration value increased,and the energy absorption rate decreased.
