Long round bar is a special steel with a wide range of uses.In the long round bar grinding straightening production,on-line joint measurement of diameter,ovality and straightness,which is conducive to improving production efficiency and reducing labor intensity,is a demand.On-line measurement can make production time and space compact,and optimize the relationship between production processes and equipment;joint measurement can improve the ability of the workpiece to measure the geometric value;non-contact measurement can optimize the space relationship between the workpiece to be measured and the measuring equipment.In the existing measurement methods,off-line measurement can not meet the needs of online measurement;online contact measurement is likely to cause the workpiece and equipment wear;online non-contact measurement is more of a single geometric value measurement,lacking the application of simultaneous measurement of diameter,ovality and straightness.In order to overcome the shortcomings of the existing measurement methods,the paper studies the key technology of on-line measurement of diameter,ovality and straightness of long round bar based on laser scanning method,and provide technical basis for the establishment of geometric parameter measuring equipment for production site in the future.This paper mainly completed the following work:Firstly,this paper describes the research status and measurement principle of diameter,ovality and straightness of bar,introduces the working principle and basic function of on-line measuring system of diameter,ovality and straightness of long round bar based on laser scanning method in detail,and show the overall design of the system.Secondly,this paper analyzes and deduces the algorithm of diameter,ovality and straightness measurement,and proposes an improved algorithm for the analysis of the factors affecting the actual measurement,including workpiece inclination,workpiece rotation and the limited point of measurementThirdly,this paper designs the mechanical structure of the system,introduces and realizes the important hardware such as displacement sensor,temperature sensor and industrial computer.Fourthly,this paper designs and implements the measurement system software with system configuration,data acquisition,numerical calculation and data storage as the core,and introduces the software operation method briefly.Fifthly,the experiments of diameter,ovality and straightness measurement are carried out,and the experimental results are analyzed.The results show that the on-line joint measurement of diameter,ovality and straightness of long round bar is feasible.After the development,the whole measurement system can be formed and applied to the workpiece quality inspection.
