Poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene adipate)copolyester(PBSA)is a good biodegradable material with good thermal properties, mechanical properties and processability, and has important theoretical research and practical application value. In this paper,1,4-butanediol(BDO),succinic anhydride(SA)and adipic acid(AA)were used as raw materials, and then PBSA was synthesized in 500mL small-scale experimental device and 20L pilot plant respectively. On the other hand,a new biodegradable material, poly(butylene terephthalate-co-butylene adipate)copolyester(PBAT),was synthesized by using small scale equipment, and succinic anhydride was replaced with terephthalic acid(PTA)in this step.Under different conditions,a series of PBSA copolyesters were synthesized. The results showed that the molar ratio of raw materials was n(BDO):n(S A+AA)?1.1:1,n(S A):n(AA)=9:1,the white PBSA copolyester with an intrinsic viscosity of 1.599 dL/g and a melt index of 27 was synthesized by using catalyst A in a total amount of 2,000 ppm and 200 min at low vacuum time. The melting point, glass transition temperature, extension initiation temperature and decomposition temperature of the synthesized PBSA were 103.80?,-34.87?,357.?and 394.50?,respectively.The stable process was identified in the pilot plant.Different PBSA copolyesters can be obtained, and their melt index vary from 10 to 50g/10min.The structure and thermal properties of PBSA were characterized, and good performance products were obtained compared with PBS.The synthesis process of PBAT in small-scale experimental device is as follows:n(BDO):n(PTA+AA)=1.4:1,n(SA):n(AA)=5:5,a composite catalyst CATD-zinc acetate was used and the catalyst was added in two times. The PBAT copolyester with an intrinsic viscosity of 0.806 dL/g was synthesized.
