In the recent years,much attention has been paid to air pollution,so desulfurization of fuels become a worldwide subject.It has been proved that catalytic oxidative desulfurization combined with extraction is a promising methods to achieve ultra-deep desulfurization.Ionic liquids(ILS)has been utilized as green extractant in this method due to its desirable properties,such as good solubility,low melting point,high thermal stability etc.However,since this kind of ionic liquid based oxidation desulfurization reaction often belongs to a kind of two-phase catalytic systems,its catalytic performance was much more lower than that of the homogeneous catalytic reaction.Emulsion desulfurization is a new type of ECODS(catalytic oxidation desulfurization combined with extraction)that has received incereased interest recently.During the process of emulsion desulfrization,the as formed emulsions increased the contact area between the two phase greatly,thus further reducing the mass transfer resistance and improving the oxidation reaction rate.However,as for the traditional emulsifier,such as organic surfactant,it is difficult to separate and remove away from the catalytic system after the reaction completed.Therefore,the establishment of solid emulsifier based oil-in-IL emulsion desulfurization system is desirable.Based on the above mentioned,the content of the thesis was summarized as follow:(1)Ionic liquid monomer ViEtIm+Br-was firstly synthesized,and then,polymeric ionic liquid-polystyrene(PIL-PS)microsphere was synthesized via a emulsion polymerization method.Based on the further anion-exchange reaction,new types of heteropolyacid modified PS-PIL microsphere was designed and formed.The morphology and structure of the three polymer microspheres was characterized based on different techniques.The possibility and stability of the formation of Pickering emulsions based on polymer microspheres was also investigated.(2)Based on the anion-exchange reaction,different kind of heteropoly acid modified PS-PIL microspheres were synthesized.The as prepared polymer microspheres were futher served as catalysts and emulsifier to built novel emulsion desulfurization catalytic system.(3)The catalytic performance of the phosphotungstic acid modified PS-PIL microspheres based emulsion desulfurization was investigated.Various experimental conditions,such as temperature,O/S and different substrates were optimized.Moreover,such catalyst can not only greatly enhance the catalytic efficiency of the oxidative desulfurization,but also can be easily separated from the reaction system and reused for several times.
