Study On The Costume Designing Techniques Of Alexander McQueen

The England costume designer Alexander McQueen is one of the fashion leaders rises in the middle of 90s in 21st century.He has the good reputation of "fashion design wizard" in the worldwide fashion industry.Under the impact of the contemporary artistic ideological trend,Alexander McQueen sets up his own style image in the fashion industry with bolshy character and distinct design idea.His unique designing techniques express his design style incisively and vividly.Through study on the impact of the main artistic ideological trend in western 21st century to the costume design style of Alexander McQueen,the thesis analyzes the designing techniques with postmodernism aesthetics features of his costume works in different stages.Comparing the change and development of the works in different stages,the thesis discusses the deep relationship between his costume designing style and designing techniques,as well as the unique manifestation idea and method to the designing techniques of Alexander McQueen.At the same time,based on this study,the author combines the proof and practice of the own graduation design.It seeks for the development idea for the costume designing in China under nowadays multi-culture and provides theoretical basis and practical case for the local costume designing to refer to and absorb the advanced costume creation techniques.
