With the development of the petrochemical industry and improvement of environmental requirements,the number of high-rising equipment such as towers and chimneys increase notably.As a result,accidents happen frequently under wind-induced vibration.The effect to reduce this kind vibration is limited by traditional measures and these measures need much money.To solve the above problems,a kind of vibration-absorbing device with wire rope has been designed,and a series of preliminary work has been carried out.For example,the vibration reduction performance of the vibration-absorbing device has been tested under the mechanical excitation.In order to simulate the wind-induced resonance of the tower equipment more realistic,a wind tunnel test is carried out by using the scaled model.What’s more,the vibration reduction effect and the impact parameters of the TMD device are studied.In addition,the random decrement method and the finite element analysis technology are analyzed and studied,which provide some basis for the engineering design of the TMD vibration-absorbing device.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)According to the characteristics of tower equipment,a wind tunnel test device is designed,which is mainly composed of a scale model and a TMD device with wire rope isolators.The vibration of the wind tunnel test device has been tested,and the results show that in the resonant velocity region the vibration damping performance of the TMD device is excellent,and vibration amplitude reduction can be up to 60%,but leaving this region damping effect decreases rapidly.(2)The modal parameters obtained by the method of the random decrement method are compared with the modal parameters obtained by experiment.Result shows that without affecting the structure itself the random decrement method is easy to obtain structure free decay curve,and is suitable for identification of the modal parameters of the tower equipment which has been built.(3)The experiment process is simulated through the finite element method,and compared with the experimental results.The results show that when the equivalent stiffness and equivalent damping is used to describe the nonlinear wire rope,the numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental results.This numerical method can be used for the engineering computation of tower equipment.These provide the technical support for the design of the TMD vibration-absorbing device.Wind tunnel experiment and numerical simulation show that the TMD vibration-absorbing device can effectively suppress the vibration amplitude of the tower under the wind-induced vibration.
