The vehicle rod joint part is an important part in car connecting system.It works under the most pressure and plays an important role in the normal operation,working stability and working life of the car,so it has high forming precision and mechanical performance requirements.Vehicle rod joint parts is mainly cutting by traditional production process,however,lower productivity,material utilization and energy consumption,and high cost does not meet today’s "green manufacturing" requirements.In this paper,the forming process of vehicle rod joint part is analyzed systematically,and the friction and lubrication characteristics in cold extrusion forming process are also studied systematically.The full text research content mainly includes:Firstly,the researched on cold extrusion process of vehicle rod joint part.Its geometry can be composed of three parts: the studs,octahedral installation surface and cup-shape d body.Based on the finite element numerical software DEFORM-3D,the cold extrusion forming process is analyzed including the overall deformation situation of parts,the flow of metal material,the influence of key process parameters on the punch load,and then the reasonable forming process program is concluded by using the orthogonal experiment.Ultimately,reasonable process: blanking-annealing-surface treatment-direct extrusion-combined extrusion-intermediate annealing and surface treatment-backward extrusion-normalizing-rough turning-gear burnishing-machining.Secondly,the researched on die friction and wear of motor vehicle steering link connector part in cold extrusion.Based on ARCHARD wear model in DEFORM-3D software,the wear of the die in cold forming with each step of the situation process were analyzed,and the analysis of the friction coefficient and the influence of the speed of the punch die wear.The results show that,with the coefficient of friction and punch velocity increasing,mold wear increases,and the impact of the friction coefficient on the die wear is more significant.At last,research on the lubrication of cold extrusion forming process of vehicle rod joint part.Through the research on the lubrication in cold extrusion process,a new type of cold extrusion lubricant is made,based on the requirement of the configuration of lubricant,combined with the domestic and foreign scholars on the research results of cold extrusion lubricant.And through the relevant test(friction wear test,ring upsetting test,the actual parts of the cold extrusion test and actual forming parts Morphology Test the performance of the new lubricants)were studied to study the performance of the new lubricants.And it is concluded that the new lubricant can be sued for the actual parts of the cold extrusion forming,then got the good lubrication effect.
