Glyphosate is a nonselective organophosphate herbicide,and was commoditized by the US Monsanto Company in 1974.Because of its high herbicidal activity and lower-cost,glyphosate is spread rapidly in the market.Now it is a one of most production and widely application pesticide,and its sale has been the top one in the world.With the demand on food and genetically modified crops rapidly growing,demand for glyphosate will be increasing at 5%to 10%in the next five years.A large number of glyphosate waste water was produced in glyphosate production.So,to realize resource utilization of glyphosate waste water and reduce environmental pressure,became the key question to the glyphosate producing companies.This paper summarized some methods to deal with glyphosate waste water,and we carried out a series of experimental studies for different methods.Thus,a new high-efficiency oxidization pretreatment process was developed and industrialized,which had a promising application prospect.During the experimentation,basis of the components of glyphosate waste water analyzed,most of organophosphorus parts in glyphosate waste water were transformed to inorganic phosphorus by the new high-efficiency oxidization pretreatment process,and the conversion rate of glyphosate was more than 80 percent.The mixture's viscosity was reduced effectively and sodium chloride,water and other impurities in glyphosate waste water were removed effectively through the separatation method.Amounts of glyphosate waste water were reduced more than 80 percent.The oxidized process was combined with the follow-up "oriented conversion-phosphate depuration and deep treatment" technology,then the new"oxidation-concentration-oriented conversion-phosphate depuration/deep treatment "technology was developed.Glyphosate waste water was transformed to phosphate mixed solution which was raw material of oriented conversion process by oxidation-concentration process,then phosphate mixed solution was transformed to polymerization phosphate by oriented conversion processs.Polyphosphates production,such as trisodium phosphate was obtainedby using polymerization phosphate as the raw material.So resource utilization of phosphorus waste water was realized though the integrated technology.Meanwhile,multi-level series continuous oxidation reactor was designed and used in industrial production.The equipments have the characteristics of high degree of automation and low equipment investment.In this paper,high-efficiency oxidization pretreatment processs to glyphosate waste water was designed,which had a rational design and low treatment cost.Phosphate mixed solution is suitable to the require materials to follow-up oriented conversion,and the utilization technique for glyphosate waste water was first proposed.
