In the process of company developing strategy,product innovation plays an important role.In general,product innovation is a systematic project,so we need to adopt a comprehensive plan for this project,which is the top priority of product innovation.In addition,designers need to roundly and accurately analyse of customers demand,and presenting corresponding conceptual design of product in term of their demand,then carrying out design of the technology,finally achieving innovative products.So,rapid and accurate determination of product demand,determining the product design of product,clearing direction of product innovation,are three key point to enterprise in innovative design of product.In this paper,we firstly carried out the research for the theory about demand evolution and Maslow's hierarchy of demand.Then,we put forward a model of product design based on demand analysis,including acquisition,analysis,induction,derivation of demand and new demand.And our innovative point lies in that we utilised “the Delphy Fa method” assessing the degree of membership of demand concentrated elements between five fuzzy sets(physiological requirements,security requirements,communicating requirements,honorary requirements and requirements of self-worth realization)and established hierarchy of demand in term of the subsequent demand behind each demand.Summarizing the characteristics of demand in all levels,we provided the basis to for the evolution path of every demand and established a demand-derived model based on theory of Maslow's hierarchy of demand,which help us get new demand.In view of new demand,we subsequently constructed a model of demand screening based on Kano model,which is used as a criterion to determine the requirement to be retained or discarded,and set up the final set of new demand.In the end of this paper,the validity of the model is verified by an example.The main contents of this paper were listed as below:(1)Demand acquisition.Base on principle,we firstly designed the questionnaire and complete the indexation of all kinds of concept in term to decomposition of purpose of the survey.Then we embodied the main concept being measured,so the concept can be measured.At last,combined with information collected on the spot,we could get the initial acquisition of demand.(2)Requirements for screening.According to the mutual relation between the user demand,we further screened user demand.Then,we must make our choice between the mutually exclusive demand,for our product development needs.Finally,the user's demand was gathered after screening.(3)Demand analysis and induction.Utilizing of “5R” membership analysis and the “Delphy's method”,demand sets will be aggregated to five levels of “Maslow demand theory”,which then is applied to draw the hierarchy of demand.(4)Derived demand.According to demand,we must grasp the evolution direction of each aspect of the five level of demand evolution.Then,we complete derivation of new demand for product and construct a prediction model based on Maslow's demand hierarchy.(5)Determination of new demand.On the basis of the Knao model,new demand is determined as one in three kind of demand: basic,expected and interesting demand.(6)Design of outdoor fitness equipment based on demand analysis model.
