The rotary forging technology has been widely used in industry because of its advantages such as low forming force,high forming quality,forming difficult machining parts and low noise.At the same time,the development of intelligent control,precision and integration in the field of industry also put forward higher requirements for the digital control of the rotary forging machine.Up to now,relays or PLC and proximity switches have been widely used to control rotary forging machines.While forming different workpieces,the location of the proximity switch needs to adjust.The adjustment process is more trouble,and the location is not accurate enough;on the other hand,the lack of human-computer interface also makes the modification of the PLC control program more complex,and can’t carry out the monitoring of the running state and the data analysis.All of these make the rotary forging process have low efficiency and poor quality of overall forming.So computer software can be used for designing process of rotary forging and developing control system for rotary forging machine.By combing CAPP and control system,we can set control parameters and monitor rotary forging machine,thereby improving rotary forging efficiency and forming quality.In this paper,2600 KN four trajectories rotary forging machine is chosen as the research object.Circuit diagram for control system is designed by analyzing process flow,main circuit and hydraulic system of the machine,we design control system hardware on the basis of the functional requirements of automatic control system.At the same time,we chose the Kingview software to developed configuration software of rotary forging machine.The software can realize running condition monitoring,fault alarm,historical data recording,and data management functions.This can not only monitor the running state of the machine in real time,and ensure the safety of the rolling process,but also provide the data basis for the optimization of rotary forging process.According to the characteristics of the four trajectories rotary forging machine which can form a variety of parts,the flange and the straight bevel gear are selected for designing rotary forging process.And on this basis,we choose SQL Server,VBand Pro/E for creating database,process design module and establishment of three-dimensional model.Finally,we developed rotary forging CAPP system.This system has the functions of process design of flange and straight bevel gear,establishment of parts three-dimensional model and database tables’ storage,call and management.The DDE module in the configuration software is used to realize the data communication between the CAPP and the configuration software.The process parameters generated by rotary forging CAPP system can be transferred to the configuration monitoring software.The corresponding process parameters are generated according to the different part parameters.The control parameters are set in the configuration software and sent to the Mitsubishi PLC to control the motion of rotary forging machine.Combining rotary forging CAPP system with automatic control system can not only avoid the complicated adjustment work,but also ensure the precise control of the machine and forming efficiency. |
