In the field of oil and gas drilling,Leakage prevention has always been the focus of drilling staff researcher.The existing bridge sealing material in the process of handling the loss can' t form a dense plugging leakage layer,often leaving a leak channel face the plugging material problems.This paper combines the characteristics of hydrophobic associative polymers.Designed to synthesize a hydrophobic associative polymer that can be used for drilling fluid plugging.With its formation can be associated with the characteristics of the structure,with the rigid plugging material to achieve the formation of the dense block.In this paper,long chain quaternary ammonium salts with hydrophobic properties are selected as hydrophobic monomers polymerization with acrylamide and N-Vinyl pyrrolidone.A polymer plugging agent JD with a parental association property was obtained.Through the infrared spectrum and thermal weight loss method.The molecular structure and thermal stability of the polymer were analyzed.Research indicates,the molecular structure of the polymer plugging agent meets the requirements has a good thermal stability.By drawing a sticky-thick curve,the critical association concentration of the polymer was analyzed,the mechanism of the plugging agent was analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.On the one hand through the interaction with the clay particles to form a grid structure,increase the drilling fluid into the formation after the flow resistance,so that the difficulties in the formation of the flow.On the other hand,by improving the distribution of clay particles,widening the distribution range of particle size in the system and forming an association structure,blocking the micro pores left by the bridge particles.Through the sand bed plugging experiments show that the polymer sealing agent and rigid sealing material compound performance is good,can effectively block the rigid plugging material leaving the micro-pores.
