MaleicanhydridewasfirstlyusedtoprepareESA,then2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid?AMPS?and itaconic acid?IA?were used as raw materials to synthesize ESA/IA/AMPS copolymer which contained a carboxyl group and a sulfonic acid group by using ammonium persulfate as initiator.The effects of monomer ratio,ammonium persulfate dosage,reaction time and temperature on the scale inhibition performance of the copolymer were investigated by orthogonal and single factor test.The optimum synthesis conditions were determined.The viscosity average molecular weight of ESA/IA/AMPS copolymer was determined by viscosity method.The structure of the copolymer was characterized by FT-IR,elemental analysis and thermogravimetric analysis.The effects of different hardness,water temperature and time on the scale inhibition performance of ESA/IA/AMPS copolymer were investigated.The scale performance,dispersion for Fe2O3 and biodegradability of ESA/IA/AMPS copolymer were compared with those of ESA/AMPS and PESA.The results showed that the scale inhibition performance of ESA/IA/AMPS on CaCO3 was better than that of ESA/AMPS and PESA.The scale inhibition performance of ESA/IA/AMPS copolymer on Ca3?PO4?2 was higher than that of ESA/AMPS,and PESA was almost zero.Dispersion capacity of ESA/IA/AMPS and ESA/AMPS copolymer on Fe2O3 was almost about the same.ESA/IA/AMPS copolymer,ESA/AMPS and PESA had good biodegradability,and ESA/IA/AMPS copolymer had better biodegradability than ESA/AMPS and PESA.Scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction were used to analyze the morphology and crystal structure of CaCO3 and the static and dynamic scale inhibiting mechanism were discussed.The effects of electrostatic voltage,flow rate,concentration of the inhibitor and the magnetic field strength on the synergistic scale inhibition performance were investigated by using groundwater.The experimental results showed that when the electrostatic field or magnetic field cooperated with the inhibitor,the scale inhibition efficiency was higher than that of the inhibitor alone.When the electrostatic voltage was 3kV and 5 kV,the synergistic scale inhibition rate of electrostatic field and inhibitor was9.8%and 13.0%higher than that of inhibitor alone.When the flow rate was 60 L/h and 80L/h,the synergistic scale inhibition rates electrostatic field and inhibitor were increased by7.1%and 13.0%than that of inhibitor alone.When the magnetic field intensity was 0.3 T and 0.5 T,the synergistic scale inhibition rate of the magnetic field and the inhibitor was5.2%and 9.3%higher than that of inhibitor alone.When the flow rate was 60 L/h and 80L/h,the synergistic scale inhibition rate of the magnetic field and the inhibitor was 5.5%and 9.3%higher than that of inhibitor alone.When magnetic field,electrostatic field and inhibitor were cooperated together,the scale inhibition rate could reach 100%.
