The rapid development and extensive application of ceramic inkjet printing technology has promoted the research process of ceramic ink.In all kinds of ceramic ink,the red ceramic ink is popular with its bright color,but in the current market,red ceramic ink mostly lighter or impure,and the bright red is difficult to make.The lack of red decoration make ceramic products monotonous,so it is still necessary to study about the red ceramic ink.In this paper,the red ceramic ink and its properties were studied.A kind of chrome-tin red ceramic ink with appropriate color,high stability and qualified properties was prepared by solution of metallic salts method.And the effects of various factors on the physical and chemical properties of the red ceramic inks and the color performance after firing were investigated.The composition of red ceramic ink,formulation of the basic glaze and other related processes were optimized,and the color mechanism of the red ceramic inks was studied.By comparing the effects of different solvents,colorants and other additives on the performance of the red ceramic ink,it was found that properties of the red ceramic ink was better when chromium hexanoic acid was used as the chromium source,dibutyl tin diacetate as the tin source,benzyl alcohol as the solvent,ethanol solution of sodium hydroxide as the pH regulator.And the red ceramic ink has appropriate performance when the colorant content was 90%and the ratio of Cr/Sn is 0.04:1.By studying the effect of calcium content and opacifier content on the color properties of the red ceramic ink,it was found that the increase of the calcium content in the base glaze could promote the coloration of the red ceramic in a certain range,and the opacifier is not conducive to the coloration of the red ceramic.When the calcite content was 25%and without zirconium silicate,the basic glaze is more conducive to the coloration of the red ceramic ink.By studying the effect of firing temperature on the color properties of the red ceramic ink,it was found that the proper increase of firing temperature is more conducive to the coloration of the red ceramic ink within a certain range.When the firing temperature is 1200?,the coloration of the red ceramic ink is relatively better.The color mechanism of the red ceramic ink was studied by analyzing the sintered ceramic surface with the ink.The results show that the main crystal phase of the sintered red ceramic ink is tin-sphene,and the cause of the red color is Cr4+enter the tin-sphene and replaced Sn4+.This exchange process causes the corresponding crystal structure to be deformed,thereby selectively absorbing visible light,forming an absorption band at a wavelength of 480-550 nm,then generate red color.
