Research On Prediction Method Of Pore Pressure In Limestone Formation

Pore pressure prediction is very important for drilling engineering,and is a prerequisite to ensure drilling,completion and production safety.However,it is still very difficult to accurately predict pore pressure in limestone formations.The traditional pore pressure prediction method still has some limitations in the limestone formation,and lacks the applicability research.Therefore,it is necessary to make a research on the prediction methods of abnormal high pressure in limestone formation,and then to analyze and optimize the prediction model for pore pressure of limestone formation.Based on the theoretical analysis and engineering practice,in the full investigation of the basis of limestone formation mineral composition,pore structure and lithologic characteristics,the abnormal high pore pressure mechanism of limestone formation was studied.By analyzing the existing prediction methods of pore pressure in limestone formation,an optimized charts of pore pressure prediction method for limestone formation is summarized.Using this chart,the pore pressure prediction method of limestone formation in B oilfield is optimized.The optimized prediction method has been applied in B oilfield,and good results have been obtained.At the same time,the pore pressure prediction model of limestone formation is compiled into a set of pore pressure prediction software for limestone formation.
