Thermal runaway behavior of the exothermic reaction system has become the primary problem of the safety production in chemical industry.In order to achieve safety in production,real-time monitoring of the exothermic reaction system and elimination of excess heat have become the direction of the researchers efforts.With the continuous development of thermoelectric materials,the thermoelectric technology based on the Seebeck effect of thermoelectric materials has made a tremendous breakthrough in thermoelectric conversion,which becomes a very promising method of heat energy recovery and utilization.Meanwhile,system temperature can be monitored real-timely by using the linear relationship between the electromotive force and the temperature difference.However,the efficient thermoelectric module structure design is the basis for the wide application of the technology.Firstly,by comparison analysis on thermoelectric properties of thermoelectric materials reported,bismuth telluride-based thermoelectric materials with the highest thermoelectric conversion efficiency at room temperature are selected as the basic materials for thermoelectric modules.Owing to the fact that nanostructuring of materials can effectively improve the thermoelectric conversion performance,nanoscale basic materials are synthesized via flame synthesis and hydrothermal method.Then,the nano powders prepared by the two methods were molded into semiconductor thin films by cold pressing,and the factors that influence the thermoelectric properties of semiconductor thin films are comparatively studied,so as to get the best conditions for the preparation and testing of semiconductor thin films.Under the conditions,we measured the performance parameters of the semiconductor thin films prepared by different methods,including temperature difference electromotive force,thermoelectric current,and conductivity type.According to the test results of thermoelectric properties of semiconductor thin films,a semiconductor thin film thermoelectric module is designed,and its open circuit voltage,short circuit current,volt ampere characteristic and output power are tested.Finally,the temperature monitoring of the exothermic reaction system is carried out by the thermoelectric rule of the semiconductor thin film thermoelectric module.
