With the high hardness materials of micro-structured widely used in the industrial field,the traditional processing methods have many problems in their processing and manufacturing.The micro-EDM technology is one of the important special processing technologies to solve such processing problems,which has the characteristics of no cutting force,controllable energy,small processing size and high processing accuracy.Due to the disadvantages of low efficiency of micro-EDM,the electrode rotation was used to enhances the fluidity of the medium in the gap,so a non-contact power supply method was proposesd to achieve high-speed processing of the electrode which avoiding spark concentration and abnormal arc generation effectively,thereby improving quality and efficiency of micro-EDM processing.The non-contact rotary EDM CNC machine tools need to be developed to realize non-contact rotary EDM,and then the software development of CNC system should be carried out.IPC as a host computer to deal with non-real-time tasks,Clipper as a lower-level machine to deal with real-time tasks,the IPC+Clipper open CNC structure selected to achieve full closed-loop control of double CPU.According to the technical requirements of the micro-EDM processing equipment,the overall scheme and structure diagram of the machine tool are designed,and the mechanical hardware and electrical system design of the machine tool according to the overall scheme.After the hardware is set up,the problem of limit and return to the linear axis was solved,the relevant parameters be set through on-line instruction of lower computer software,and then debug the parameters of the PID/feedforward algorithm to obtain excellent dynamic response characteristics and steady-state characteristics,now a full-closed-loop control servo system for the machine tool be fully established.Use MFC dialog function in VC2010 software,establish communication with Clipper though PcommServer function library,adopt modular design method to develop machine tool CNC system software HMI(Human Machine Interface),the main interface consists of command area,display area,function module area,Program area and information display box.The main frame of the milling machine processing function,the use of multi-threaded programming technology,composite EDM system to achieve EDM.Test the relevant performance parameters of the machine tool,write the numerical control program in the HMI program area for conduct the milling process experiment to check the software and hardware performance of the machine tool.In the main interface of the EDM module,through the electrical processing parameters set,to test the EDM servo control effect,continuous debugging optimization,to meet the requirements of EDM.
